My Circadian Clock: A lifestyle app for research studies
My Circadian Clock is a free lifestyle app developed by Salk Institute for use in research studies examining how diet, exercise, and sleep affect health and healing. The app is designed to help researchers understand the interaction between "how much" and "when" we sleep, eat or exercise for better health. To download and use the app, you need an activation code from these research studies.
The app comes with several key features, including a camera function to snap pictures of everything you eat or drink, a sleep tab to record time to bed and time of waking up, an exercise tab to log physical activity, a personalized food menu, a health tab to log and monitor health parameters, medication reminders, and feedback with the research coordinator. The app has recently added several new features, including a Tag Later Button, Health Tracking, Daily tracking and study status info on the home page, Step Counts, Settings, and an improved user experience. With the redesigned interface, the app is now easier and more enjoyable to use.
